FAQs
All Weddings are shot exclusively on 35mm film, using a mix of color and black & white film. This means every shot is taken with intention and uniqueness.
How many images will we receive?
With shooting film, I will typically shoot approximately 1 to 1.5 rolls a film per hour. From that I will develop and scan those images with the goal of delivering about 30 images per hours of shooting. These are hand picked, high-resolution files for you in an online gallery.
Do you shoot digital too?
No. I am 100% analog film photographer. If you are hiring me, you’re choosing that unique, timeless look that only real film delivers. I don’t bring a digital backup, and if this is something you are wanting, I’d be open to having a second shooter.
What if the film gets damaged or lost?
All film is professionally developed and scanned by a trusted third party lab. In the rare event of lab failure (lost or damaged rolls), I will:
For wedding day - a partial refund may be offered, but this depends on how much is lost and the nature of the situation.
For engagement or other sessions - I may offer a reshoot at no additional cost.
Lost / Damaged Film Policy will be in an agreement prior to shooting
Can I add hours to my coverage?
Yes. Extra hours are $250/hour, billed in 30-minute increments. Let me know as early as possible so I can prep additional film stock.
What is the payment structure?
You do not need to pay in full if you choose not to. I do require a 50% non-refundable retainer to lock in your date. The remaining balance is due 1 week before the date.
Do you travel?
YES!
Travel within 60 miles, round trip from Eagan, MN is included
Beyond that: $1/mile, GPS-verified
For destination weddings (Legacy package only):
Round-trip airfare from MSP (economy or better)
2-3 night lodging
Ground transport to / from venue
What if it rains?
Embrace the rain! Film loves dramatic light. I shoot rain or shine unless the weather is dangerous. I can help plan for solid indoor or backup options if needed.
